Migrate from ClickUp to Equilibrition with a controlled CSV export

ClickUp covers many use cases: tasks, Docs, statuses, tracked time, attachments, and hierarchy. Migration is safer when scoped: import active work through CSV, then handle Markdown Docs separately.

Starting format

Workspace CSV plus separate Markdown Docs

CSV

CSV import available today

The ClickUp CSV is the available baseline today. It lets you recover tasks and hierarchy without waiting for a native connector.

Path

The 3 migration steps

1

Export from ClickUp

In workspace settings, open Imports / Exports, choose Export Items, select the relevant Spaces, Folders, or Lists, then download the CSV.

  • The CSV can include IDs, links, descriptions, statuses, dates, parents, attachments, assignees, tags, priority, estimates, checklists, comments, and tracked time.
  • Export each ClickUp Doc as Markdown: there is no bulk export for all workspace Docs.
2

Import the CSV into Equilibrition

Import the CSV to create projects and tasks. Spaces become suggested domains, Folders become source groups, and Lists become default projects after confirmation.

  • Markdown Docs become notes linked to the relevant projects.
  • Attachments are downloaded into private storage when the link allows it.
3

Review the mapping

Review tasks that appear in multiple Lists: deduplicate by ClickUp ID, choose a primary project, and keep the other memberships as secondary links.

  • Tracked time is a provenance metric, not planned duration.
  • Custom task types should be confirmed instead of forced into a single model.

Watchouts

Limits to know before importing

  • ClickUp Docs require a Markdown export per document.
  • Multi-List tasks must be deduplicated by ID before validation.
  • The CSV does not replace a future API connection for large comment threads or difficult attachments.

Coming later

An OAuth connection may make large workspaces smoother, without changing the fact that CSV already works to start.
