What people ask before leaving Obsidian
Would I lose local files and ownership?
Yes, and that deserves a straight answer: Equilibrition is hosted, so there is no folder of .md files on your disk. Obsidian is better on this point and will stay better — your files outlive any app, ours included. What leaves here is structured project context, not a vault. If owning the files is your first requirement, stay on Obsidian; that is a defensible choice.
My Tasks + Dataview setup already does this, doesn't it?
It does the what, often very well: a well-written query returns exactly the open tasks for the right client. It holds none of that up against the hours you have left, and it never tells you how much of the week went to family rather than business. You are also the support team for that setup: one plugin update breaks a query on a Tuesday morning.
Can I keep my vault alongside it?
Yes, and plenty of people do exactly that: the vault stays where you write long and think, Equilibrition becomes the cockpit you execute from. The migration included in the Founder Pass moves the projects, the tasks and the decisions, not your long-form notes. Nobody is asking you to delete anything.
Will my data be locked in here?
You can take out your projects, your tasks and the context of each project, so you would not leave empty-handed.
