Migrate from Monday.com to Equilibrition board by board

Monday.com is primarily a team tool, but it often contains projects, deadlines, comments, and files a solo operator wants to bring back into a cockpit.

Starting format

Per-board Excel converted to CSV

CSV

CSV import available today

The reliable path today is to export each Monday.com board to Excel, turn the files into CSV, import the CSV into Equilibrition, then review sensitive groups and columns.

Path

The 3 migration steps

1

Export from Monday.com

Open each board to migrate, remove temporary filters, then use More actions > Export board to Excel with updates and subitems when that option is available.

  • Repeat board by board to keep review clear.
  • Upload the files together so board identifiers can be deduplicated.
2

Import the CSV into Equilibrition

CSV import works today. Convert the Excel files into per-board CSVs, then import tasks, subitems, statuses, priorities, dates, and comments into Equilibrition.

  • Groups are suggested as phase, category, or status to confirm.
  • File links are downloaded if still accessible, otherwise preserved as resources.
3

Review the mapping

Compare item counts, open the most important boards, and confirm which columns become business fields or metadata.

  • A filtered export may be incomplete: the preview should flag it.
  • Views, dashboards, automations, formulas, and permissions are not recreated.

Watchouts

Limits to know before importing

  • An Excel export respects active filters and may miss items.
  • A board export is limited to 100,000 items.
  • Workdocs, views, dashboards, automations, formulas, and permissions are not recreated.

Coming later

A more automated import may use the Monday.com API later; today's available path remains Excel converted into CSV and reviewed.
