Migrate from Trello to Equilibrition with JSON or CSV

Trello is visual: a board, lists, and cards. Migration to Equilibrition should decide whether lists represent statuses or categories before turning cards into actions.

CSV can be imported into Equilibrition today. If your Trello workspace only provides JSON, convert cards into a preview CSV before importing.

Export from Trello

Export each board as raw JSON. If you have a Premium workspace, board or workspace CSV export can speed up the tabular import.

Trello Inbox cards must first be moved into a board.
Premium CSV does not include comments: keep JSON when history matters.

Import the CSV into Equilibrition

Convert JSON to CSV if needed, then import into Equilibrition. Boards become projects and cards become tasks with descriptions, labels, due dates, and checklists.

Attachments become files or resources depending on what the export provides.
Comments and actions stay as history linked to the card.

Review the mapping

Confirm board by board whether a Trello list represents a status or a category. This choice changes how Equilibrition organizes the project.

An editorial board and a sales board do not always use lists the same way.
The preview prevents false statuses or unnecessary categories.

Watchouts

Limits to know before importing

JSON is available to board members, but CSV depends on the Trello plan.
Inbox cards cannot be exported directly until they are moved into a board.
The meaning of lists must be reviewed because it varies by use case.

Coming later

An API may later retrieve boards and history more precisely, but CSV or converted JSON already covers the initial migration scenario.
